History and horror often go hand in rotting hand, folks. We all know this.
You've heard of the delightfully terrifying Ottawa Haunted Walks, with its tales of crime and punishment, and its creepy ties to what lurks within the Diefenbunker Museum, but have you seen what else lies in the outskirts of our fair city?
The countryside is spotted with old historic sites such as Pinhey's Point and its estate, "Horaceville". Located at 270 Pinhey's Point Road, Dunrobin, this property was once the home of Hamnett Kirkes Pinhey, a British settler who became a leading member of Upper Canada. It has been passed down through generations of the family, and is certainly a chilling visit at night. Here's one of their special events - add it to your list!
